Trump Again

Despite being a convicted felon and having a civil judgment against him including a finding of sexual assault/rape, Donald Trump emerges with a clear victory in the US presidential election. He was also awaiting trial on criminal charges stemming from his involvement in what many see as an attempt to mount a violent coup after he lost the previous election. Trump has repeatedly denied all of the many criminal and civil claims against him and successfully convinced the public that he would be the better executive officer of the United States of America. Many feared the now president-elect would attempt to claim victory even if he lost. Those fears were mooted by what appears to be a legitimate win for President Elect Donald Trump, both in the electoral college and the popular vote. Reuters reports that “Trump has vowed to reshape the executive branch, including firing civil servants he views as disloyal and using federal law enforcement agencies to investigate his political enemies, violating what has been a longstanding policy of keeping such agencies independent.”
